Okay, well, it has mostly been our contractor, Jerry. He is doing a wonderful job of pulling down the plaster, old insulation, birds nests and old cupboards. The basement has been jacked and floor joists beefed up. windows are ordered and the furnace come home today.
We found a nice claw foot tub in the bathroom. A very unique sink in the kitchen and an interesting shaving sink for hand washing. Some elements like this we will try to save. The solid wood doors, wood trim (attached with square nails), and solid wood wainscoting are also pieces we will attempt to salvage. I will post pictures soon.
The Attic has been exposed now and the cupboards that had been built into the sloped ceilings upstairs have been pulled out leaving nice spacious bedrooms.
With all the old plaster out of the way the structure seems so simple.
The biggest surprise of our demolition was the concrete poured in some of the walls. This nows leaves us with an insulation dilemma. To have enouh room for fibre glass insulation one requires a 4" space. This means framing an inside wall, removing the concrete, or looking into spray foam insulation. I will keep you posted!

Unique shaving sink- Picture doesn't show it well but it is very shallow from front to back.
Claw foot tub we found. Had been built around. I hink we will keep it- partly because I am not sure how we would get it out!
We will clean this sink up and use it in the laundry room

OMG! You have a claw bathtub! Is it in good shape? I love those tubs! Wish I had one!

Looks pretty good but has a layer of grime I need to scrub away and see how it comes out.
